We have recently celebrated recieiving several awards to add to our collection and now in our third year remain a great sucess.

If you have not been yet you really must book, that is, of course, if you can get a table. Hooks gets booked up quickly. For a Friday or Saturday night we recomend booking as well in advance as possible to get the time of your choice. Ocasionally on saturday nights there may be up to a 30 minutes wait for your table as we are very busy! Of course.. you are welcome to relax in the cellar bar while you wait for your table!

Enter the restaurant beneath the award winning Hooks signage and step into a different world. The ceiling is a spider web of tiny sparkling lights giving the appearance of a starlit sky. There are palm trees, old cannons, shipwrecked brandy barrels, 4 screens displaying special announcements/events & pictures, a full-size sharks head coming out of the wall and  the best music completed with the friendliest  staff in town.

Hooks feels like a fantasy island in the Caribbean with a fabulous "I'm on holiday atmosphere" with background music from the 80's to the present day thrown in. The fully stocked elevated bar with draught beers and cocktails has a thatched roof, which altogether complements the theme along with staff in Pirate dress, who delightfully add to the original island flavour.

The focal point of Hooks is the spotless open-plan kitchen where your meal will be cooked to perfection by a team of feisty pirates before your very eyes.  Our speciality, charcoal grilled steaks and the freshest local seafood can even be choosen from the display cabinets if you wish. We only use the finest beef which is hung for a minimum of 28 days to give flavour and tenderness and have our fish delivered fresh every day.  

Hooks is open 7 days a week and welcomes everyone. With seating for over 160, whatever the celebration, parties, birthdays, anniversaries, staff parties, leaving do's, wedding receptions, club and sports functions - you name it, all tables are decorated free of charge, names put on the 'wall of fame' and announcements can be made.
 
Although children are welcome at any time the kids pesky pirate parties can be booked from 5.30pm to 7pm only, to include a main course, sweet and drink at £7 per head, this includes all decorations, swords, patches & pirate hat. Go on, be different and have a pirate adventure.
